Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh and Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar were among nine candidates elected unopposed to the Bihar Legislative Council. The ruling NDA secured eight seats, while the opposition RJD got one. JD(U) leader Lalan Saraf also won unopposed in a by-election. Several grassroots workers and minority representatives also gained council berths.
