In Bihar's Gaya district, retired Air Force officer Mohan Lal built a Muktidham (cremation ground) in his village with his own money and, to promote it, organized his own funeral procession while still alive. He arrived at the cremation ground with great fanfare and performed the cremation of an effigy. He also installed a shed, a platform, and a hand pump for the convenience of the villagers. This is a unique event in the village.
