Nitish Kumar Promises Jobs, Employment for One Crore People in Five Years
PASHCHIM CHAMPARAN, BIHAR, JUL 12 – The Bihar government aims to double its 2020-25 employment target by providing one crore jobs and launching a skill university to boost youth self-employment.
- The Bihar Government allocated Rs 51.30 crore to clear Riga Mill’s outstanding dues.
- With polls due later this year, elections expected later in 2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar promised one crore jobs on Sunday.
- In a social media post, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar highlighted that so far 10 lakh youths have secured government jobs and about 39 lakh others gained employment.
- On the opposition front, Ejaz Ahmad called the announcements political gimmickry, while Mritunjay Tiwari accused the government of copying Tejashwi Yadav.
- Looking ahead, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the Saat Nischay programme will expand over the next five years and a Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University will be set up.
