Big win for charter schools as court strikes down L.A. Unified policy

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JUL 25 – A judge ruled Los Angeles Unified cannot block charter schools from nearly 350 campuses, protecting the legal right to access equivalent public school facilities under California law.

LAUSD sought to limit locations for charters — privately run public schools — but the court affirmed their right to "reasonably equivalent" placements.
