Big Island soldiers who died in Vietnam War are honored

The ceremony honored 52 fallen Hawaii Island Vietnam War service members with name readings and bell tolls, highlighting 29 soldiers lost from the 29th Infantry Brigade.

U.S. Army 1st Lt. John Kauhaihao of Captain Cook was just 27 when he was killed in action on Sept. 5, 1969, in Tay Ninh Province during the Vietnam War.
