The American Armed Forces Museum has been fighting a long war against desert weeds, and teams from Holloman Air Force Base have gladly enlisted in its defense.  A five-man team from the 49th Maintenance Group took on the task this year as part of its Big Give project, dedicating more than 100 hours to cleaning up the front yard and memorial area of the venerable museum located on the outskirts of Alamogordo.
