- During an interview on Thursday, May 28, Person said, "I've put in a lot of work over the past four years, so it's very rewarding to get to see it pay off," while completing his final year at NDSU.
- Following his undergraduate degree, Person plans to pursue a doctorate in aerospace engineering and eventually become a propulsion engineer, positioning the Astronaut Scholar honor as a significant milestone.
