Nurses at Two Prime Healthcare Hospitals Vote Union

The 91% vote followed staffing and safety complaints, and Prime Healthcare fired or suspended 20 nurses days before the election.

In an election held Sept. 24, registered nurses at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Maine, voted overwhelmingly to join Maine State Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee (MSNA/NNOC).  The nurses voted 91% yes (204-21).
