Hyatt and Aeroplan Launch a New Loyalty Program Partnership
Members can convert points between the two loyalty programs and unlock status fast-tracks, with redemption options starting at 25,000 Aeroplan points.
- On Wednesday, Air Canada's Aeroplan and World of Hyatt launched a partnership enabling members to link accounts for reciprocal points earning, status fast-tracks, and expanded redemption options across their travel networks.
- Linked members can convert points between programs at a 2:1 ratio, starting at 5,000 points, while Aeroplan members may redeem points for World of Hyatt free night awards starting at 25,000 points.
- Aeroplan Elite Status Members and premium credit cardholders can access a 90-day challenge to fast-track World of Hyatt Discoverist status; premium cardholders also receive complimentary Discoverist status and five annual elite night credits.
- World of Hyatt elite members receive an annual C$20 Air Canada flight credit after linking accounts, while the partnership expands member reach across a combined network of more than 1,500 hotels.
- Hyatt appears to be targeting growth opportunities within Canada through this collaboration, with plans to introduce an Aeroplan status challenge for World of Hyatt elite members later this year.
