The town of Bethune elected a new mayor, LaDonna Brown, while council members Kenneth D. McCaskill and Zach Brennan were confirmed. The Kershaw County Voter Registration Office certified the election results after a brief challenge. In Elgin, voters reelected Cristy Bradley and elected Brandy Bradley through write-in votes.
