Inventor Dean Kamen has resigned from the Board of Directors of Vermont-based electric aviation company Beta Technologies after questions were raised about his past dealings with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The SEC's mandatory filing documents show that BETA said Kamen stepped down "to avoid potential distractions" but did not elaborate further on what that means.
