'Best and worst' rated GPs across Castle Point revealed in new patient survey
Benfleet Surgery led the borough with 90% of patients rating care good, while The Hollies Surgery scored 42% after a closure over legal issues.
On Thursday, July 9, the 2026 GP Patient Survey revealed the best-rated GP surgeries in Leeds, based on feedback from more than 650,000 patients across England collected between January and April.
Conducted by Ipsos for NHS England, the study gathers patient feedback on appointment booking, online services, and out-of-hours care, providing a vital snapshot of primary care performance across the nation.
National results show 76.7 per cent of patients reported a good experience in 2026, continuing an upward trend from 75.4 per cent in 2025 and 73.9 per cent in 2024.
Health Secretary James Murray stated the survey demonstrates "real progress to improve the front door of the NHS," with nearly 77 per cent of patients reporting a good experience.
Practices continue expanding online services and upgrading phone systems to improve primary care access, addressing patient calls for more convenient and choice-driven appointment booking.
