Bertie County responds to a firearm report at Perdue Farms

BERTIE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) -- Officials with the Bertie County Sheriff's Office found a pipe that burst at Perdue Farms after responding to a report of someone with a firearm. First responders are currently on the scene. The call was initially to Bertie County Communications Center to report someone with a firearm at the plant. It has been confirmed that it was a CO2 pipe that burst. There is no threat, and the facility has been evacuated.
