With the now decided B-Plan draft for a property in the Schumacher district, the Berlin Senate wants to lay the foundations for an educational campus in the eastern part of the former Tegel airfield.
At the former Tegel airport in Berlin-Reinickendorf, a completely new quarter for over 10,000 people is growing with the Schumacher Quartier. The Senate has now created the planning right for an educational campus to combine schools, kindergartens and leisure facilities. A new main traffic street for the district is also being planned.
