Man Arrested on Criminal Solicitation of Minor Charges
BERKELEY COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA, JUL 23 – Tarl Rollings exploited at least six children while working as a babysitter and childcare provider, facing eight felony counts with penalties up to 10 years each, officials said.
- On July 18, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested Tarl Rollings in Jamestown, charging him with eight counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, each punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
- The probe involved a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children prompted the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to uncover Rollings possessed child sexual abuse material, assisted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office and Summerville Police Department.
- A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 25 and in early March the Moncks Corner Police Department accused him of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
- Under state law, he faces a maximum penalty of life in prison and the case is being prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
- The indictment alleges exploitation of at least six children from June 2023 until February 2025, according to the Department of Justice.
