Bend says its 850-vehicle fleet prepared for surge in fuel prices

The City of Bend says rising gasoline and diesel prices are not disrupting operations thanks to advance budgeting and planning for its fleet of about 850 vehicles. Officials say the city can also make mid-biennial budget adjustments if fuel costs continue climbing.
