The Ukusefya Pa Ng’wena traditional ceremony has been cancelled because the prevailing mood cannot allow for joyful celebrations, according to the Bemba Royal Establishment. The ceremony, which was scheduled for 17–19 September 2026, has been cancelled following Icilye ce Lamfya, held at Chitimukulu Palace in Mungwi District, Northern Province, on Friday.
