Belding council designates interim manager, retains Krieger part-time
The Belding City Council voted 5-0 to designate Finance Director Becky Schlienz as interim city manager after current city manager Keven Krieger leaves on Sept. 15, but to retain Krieger as a part-time employee until the search for his replacement is complete. Krieger explained to the council that he consulted with the city's attorney, Varnum Law Group, which was unclear about one issue related to the transition.
