Meta agreed to pay $17.1 billion to resolve lawsuits in the United States about the impact of Facebook and Instagram on minors, without admitting guilt. The funds will go to states for mental health. In addition, the company will implement restrictions for children under the age of 18, including daily limits, night blockades and reduction of notifications, although it will keep recommendations and personalized advertising.
