PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's basketball team defeated the Holy Cross Crusaders, 89-79 in the season opener for both teams on Monday, Nov. 3 at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, R.I. Freshman Stefan Vaaks (Tabasalu, Estonia) led the team in scoring with 19 points. Freshman Jamier Jones (Sarasota, Fla.) added 16 points on a perfect 7-7 from the field to go with 5 rebounds.
