Man Who Shot 2 Deputies in Walton Is Dead, Boone County Sheriff's Official Says
The deputies were serving a felony child support warrant with a $14,000 bond when the suspect fired, then died by a self-inflicted gunshot after a SWAT standoff.
- Thursday night, Boone County deputies were shot while serving a warrant at Towne Creek Crossing Apartments on Thursday, Aug. 28; the suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after barricading himself.
- The deputies were executing a felony flagrant non-support child support warrant with a $14,000 bond when officers breached the Service Road residence in Walton just after 10 p.m. and encountered heavy gunfire.

- Both wounded deputies were hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, with one undergoing surgery and another airlifted; Gov.
