- Tracing his development, Gill featured in the India Under-19 team coached by Rahul Dravid that won the Under-19 World Cup, and he amassed more than 700 runs in his maiden Test assignment.
- Mumbai's Ayush Mhatre will be recognised with the Lala Amarnath Award, the Mumbai Cricket Association is set to be named Best Association, and the BCCI is contemplating a lifetime award for Mithali Raj, The Indian Express reports.
- The honours follow India reaching major ICC milestones under Dravid, including the 2023 ODI World Cup final and 2024 T20 World Cup wins, with the U19 World Cup victory recently in Zimbabwe and Namibia, The Indian Express reports.
