- A Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft, the Siyay, arrived as the final survivor reached the dinghy, bringing the total rescued to four while six remain presumed drowned.
- With four men and two women missing, the rescue operation has shifted into a recovery effort. Stauffer noted that saving the three people was the best they could do given the conditions.
