BATTLEFORDS - Update, May 28, 2026: As a result of the continued investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford General Investigation Section (GIS) have charged a  man in relation to a grandparent scam investigation that began in January 2026. 53-year-old Eric Tiegen, from Lashburn, was arrested in late April and is charged with: one count, fraud over $5,000; and two counts, identity fraud.
