Man Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Woman, Driving 5-Plus Hours with Body in Passenger Seat
Police say Tyronne Brazille drove across several states with Lanessa Bradford’s body before his arrest and extradition on a murder charge.
On Thursday, Memphis Police arrested Tyronne Brazille, 50, in Downtown Memphis after officers discovered 50-year-old Lanessa Bradford dead in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Baton Rouge Police Department detectives believe Brazille shot Bradford at Independence Community Park in Baton Rouge after the two got into a verbal argument.
Brazille allegedly drove through several states with Bradford deceased in his passenger seat before being stopped in Tennessee, where she was found with a gunshot wound.
Currently in custody as a fugitive, Brazille is awaiting extradition to Baton Rouge, where he faces murder charges in connection with Bradford's death.
Memphis Police contacted the Baton Rouge Police Department following the traffic stop at South Second Street and Pontotoc Avenue, confirming the victim was not killed in Tennessee.
