Singer Barry Manilow Postpones Lexington Concert
Rupp Arena officials said the show will be rescheduled and previously purchased tickets will be honored after the second postponement.
Singer Barry Manilow postponed his concert at Rupp Arena in Lexington on Tuesday for the second time, announcing the change on social media just minutes before the scheduled start.
The 83-year-old Manilow previously rescheduled a performance at the venue as he continued to recover from lung cancer, for which he underwent surgery earlier this year.
At 6:54 p.m., arena officials announced the postponement due to unexpected circumstances, while concertgoers told WKYT they learned of the delay waiting in line. "Due to unforeseen circumstances tonight's show in Lexington has been rescheduled," Manilow said.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced, though no specific timeline for the rescheduled performance has been provided yet.
Despite the Lexington delay, Manilow remains scheduled to perform in Cincinnati on Wednesday as the singer continues his tour following his cancer recovery.
