Barry Manilow Announces First New Studio Album of Mostly New Material in Nearly 15 Years

Barry Manilow's 33rd studio album features 13 tracks mostly written by him, with collaborations and top producers contributing to his first original LP since 2011.

  • The new album, What a Time, arrives on June 5, released by Barry Manilow on his STILETTO Entertainment and distributed by The Orchard, his 33rd studio album.
  • Primarily produced by Manilow and longtime collaborator Michael Lloyd, who co-produced nine of the 13 tracks, the album also features production from Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds and Dave Cobb, with Manilow writing or co-writing all but two songs.
  • The lead single, Sun Shine, co-written with Gary Barlow, echoes Manilow's 1977 hit Daybreak, while saxophonist Dave Koz and Sharon 'Muffy' Hendrix guest on two tracks, and retro touches include a whistling break and a new recording of 'Another Life'.
  • Announcing a broad tour, Manilow will perform U.S. dates from April 13 to Jan. 21, 2027 and U.K. shows in June, while receiving the American Advertising Federation's President's Award in April as he recovers from lung cancer surgery.
  • More than 51 years on the Adult Contemporary chart, Manilow has sold more than 85 million records and broke Elvis Presley’s record of 636 shows at Westgate Las Vegas.
