- Malcolm died on Monday after a single-vehicle collision involving his police motorcycle on Highway 401 near Burnham Street North in Cobourg, where he served his entire career with the Northumberland detachment.
- Joining the force in 2020, the 33-year-old officer was also a member of the Golden Helmets, the OPP's precision motorcycle team, according to OPP Commissioner Thomas Carrique.
- Members of the public may gather safely on highway overpasses between Keele Street and Thickson Road South to pay respects, while the procession will be livestreamed on the OPP's YouTube channel.
- Funeral arrangements remain in the early stages, while the OPP expressed gratitude for the "compassion and support" shown by community members during this difficult week for the service.
