Operation Christmas Child Lands in Erie County. How You Can Donate Gifts to Children
Nearly 5,000 drop-off sites across the U.S. collect shoebox gifts to help Samaritan's Purse reach its goal of 12 million children worldwide in 2025.
- Today Operation Christmas Child opened its 2025 collection season with nearly 5,000 U.S. drop-off locations, during National Collection Week Nov. 17-24, according to organizers.
- Samaritan's Purse says the program seeks to demonstrate God's love through partner churches and aims to reach 12 million children in 2025.
- Volunteers and families can pack shoeboxes with toys, school supplies and personal-care items or build virtual boxes online at samaritanspurse.org, where donors are asked not to include food, toothpaste or sharp items.
- The shoeboxes will reach children in hard-to-reach places, from jungles to remote Pacific islands, building on more than 232 million shoeboxes delivered since 1993, organizers say each shares God’s love.
