WEIRTON, W.Va. (WTRF) - Today in Weirton, a banner dedication ceremony honoring local veterans was held at the Brooke-Hancock County Veterans Memorial Park.  Veterans who were missing in action, killed in action, or held as prisoners of war were honored today with dedicated banners commemorating their sacrifice and preserving their memory. ‘New’ Boothbay Region Veterans’ Banners – A. Alford to T. Wyman

Beginning shortly before Memorial Day 2024, banners honoring military veterans from Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, East Boothbay, Edgecomb and Southport were hung on utility poles and were to remain on the poles until Veterans Day.
