Ben Peled sued Discount Bank after a service representative deposited a check in his account in his favor - which turned out to be counterfeit. Now the Bank of Israel is backing Peled and stating that a reasonable banker looking at the check must notice that it is a counterfeit check, prevent the deposit, and warn the customer.
