Cases of fraud continue to increase in Switzerland, according to the Swiss Banking Ombudsman. Fraudsters' methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and customers cannot expect financial institutions to intervene when they are harmed.

In particular, fraud cases in which bank customers were harmed by unauthorised or fraudulent payments have increased significantly.
