At the end of July 2025, 465 bankruptcies were registered in Puerto Rico, representing an increase of 0.87% compared to the 461 filed in the same month of 2024, according to preliminary statistics from the Puerto Rico Bankruptcy Bulletin.

It is the highest figure for a month of July since 2019. In the first seven months, bankruptcy petitions have increased 7.4%, until 3476, when compared with the same period of 2024.
