'Putney Pusher' Suspect Found Dead at West London Home
Police said the 44-year-old suspect was found dead after an investigation into CCTV showing a woman shoved into a bus’s path.
- On Tuesday, Nicholas Brandram, a 44-year millionaire suspect in the "Putney Pusher" inquiry, was found dead at his home in Chiswick, London. Police stated the death is not considered suspicious.
- Brandram had been under investigation for the May 5, 2017, Putney Bridge incident where a jogger shoved a 33-year woman into traffic. Detectives previously interviewed 50 men and arrested three individuals during the probe.
- Police detained Brandram on June 15 for attempted GBH, also investigating suspected possession of Class A and B drugs. No formal charges were ever brought against him in the case.
- The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service responded to the Chiswick property at 19.12hrs on Tuesday. A spokesperson confirmed he was pronounced dead at the scene, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
- Metropolitan Police CCTV footage from the 2017 incident showed a jogger pushing a 33-year woman into the path of a double-decker bus. Driver Olivier Salbris swerved rapidly, avoiding the pedestrian by inches before the assailant fled.
