Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Game Gets 4-Episode Live-Action Prequel Series
The four short episodes will stream first on IGN and introduce newcomers to the war-torn setting before the game’s October release.
- Bandai Namco announced on Thursday a new live-action prequel series titled Ace Combat Hour Zero, which sets the stage for the narrative players will experience in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve's Campaign Mode.
- Titled Hour Zero, the short film introduces the Ace Combat worldview by depicting three strangers surviving the opening days of the Republic of Sotoa's invasion of the Federation of Central Usea.
- Featuring Josh Holloway, Brandon Routh, and Tamlyn Tomita, the cast portrays a pilot with nowhere to land, a doctor who saved an enemy soldier, and a news anchor silenced for telling the truth.
- Ace Combat 8 launches October 2 for PS5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, delivering the series' most cinematic experience yet with Unreal Engine 5 and proprietary technology.
- Deluxe Edition owners gain Early Access beginning September 29, three days before the worldwide October 2 release, allowing players to experience the game ahead of full launch.
