Balrampur ASP Vishal Pandey said Mewalal outpost in-charge Shailendra Kumar Yadav was suspended for alleged supervisory lapses, while Kotwali Nagar inspector Santosh Kumar Mishra was served a show-cause notice. The action was taken on the directions of SP Martand Prakash Singh.
During the Ganpati immersion procession in Balrampur on Monday 21st September, seven-year-old Vaishnavi Tiwari suddenly fell in school amidst the loud DJ. The teachers took care of him, but shortly afterwards he succumbed again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
