Atletico Madrid adds playmaker Álex Baena from Villarreal
Atletico Madrid has boosted its squad by signing midfielder Álex Baena from Villarreal. The transfer was announced a day after Atletico signed 22-year-old Italian left back Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta.
The midfielder is in Madrid passing a medical examination and will then sign for the Metropolitan Club. He will leave on vacation.
"I am happy, I make a big leap in my career. I come to one of the best clubs in Spain and Europe," commented Álex.
