The Toulouse Administrative Court of Appeal has authorised construction of the controversial A69 motorway between Toulouse and Castres - the latest in a long-running legal saga over a road that has become a flashpoint for environmental protesters.
The environmental authorization of the motorway project between Toulouse and Castres was finally confirmed on appeal this Tuesday, 30 December, because of the imperative reason of major public interest. The works will therefore be able to continue, to the detriment of squirrels, squirrels or frogs, despite other appeals pending trial.
Administrative justice must decide whether the construction of the disputed motorway between Toulouse and Castres should be interrupted again. The public rapporteur recommended that the work be continued.
