Organizers from Restore Our Fairgrounds submitted nearly 75,000 petition signatures on Friday. If enough of those signatures are validated, a proposed Metro Charter amendment to replace the Fairgrounds Speedway with affordable housing and green space will be put to a citywide referendum next year.
