Author of new Prince Andrew book: 'What most annoys him is his lack of a royal status'
UNITED KINGDOM, AUG 7 – Author Andrew Lownie warns of further scandals in his unauthorized biography of Prince Andrew, revealing allegations of personal misconduct and strained royal family relations.
- On August 14, 2025, Andrew Lownie will publish Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, alleging Prince Andrew’s sex life, fight with Prince Harry, and staff mistreatment.
- Drawing on interviews and documents, Lownie spent four years researching, submitted hundreds of FOI requests, and faced repeated denials from the Royal Household.
- Notably, the book alleges Prince Andrew called a Royal Household staff member a `f***ing imbecile` in 2005, while fighting with Prince Harry and being `'unbelievably cruel'` to staff.
- Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex denied Prince Andrew ever made the claimed comments and rejected any physical fight claims, while Buckingham Palace did not comment.
- Amid widespread negativity, Lownie warns `What most annoys him is his lack of a royal status` and states `I don’t think he has any public future.
