Australia’s Karratha LNG Plant Closed After Cyclone Amid Fuel Shortages

Cyclone Narelle caused power outages and equipment damage at Woodside’s Karratha plant, worsening a global LNG supply disruption affecting over 25%, analysts said.

The plant’s co-owner Chevron said it suffered outages at its Gorgon and Wheatstone gas plants, which supply more than five per cent of the world’s liquefied natural gas.
