A 57-year-old Peruvian man has confessed to strangling to death a 19-year-old woman from Latina south of Rome in Milan on December 29 while he was raping her, police said after Italy's latest shocking femicide Thursday. (ANSA)
The 57-year-old reported that he didn't realize that he had killed her until the next day when he saw the television services. He said he had watched over the girl thinking she was drowsy.
The murder took place the night between 28 and 29 December in Milan. Investigators are considering whether to challenge the man the new feminicide crime that involves life imprisonment
