Aurangzeb Pledges Tax, Energy and SOE Reforms

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN, JUN 17 – Pension costs have surpassed Rs1 trillion, prompting reforms to ensure fiscal sustainability and transition new civil servants to a Defined Contribution Pension Scheme from July 2024.

Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb on Tuesday reaffirmed the government's resolve to implement structural reforms to achieve long-term economic growth and stability.
