Audubon man gets 23 months in prison for domestic assault

DETROIT LAKES — Joseph Andrew Crawford, 34, of Audubon has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony domestic assault. According to court records, Crawford punched a woman in the face July 10 at Newman’s in Audubon. The woman told police that Crawford “constantly hits her” and that the assault was “pretty hard this time.” Officers noted swelling on the right side of her face and a ripped shirt.
