2026 Audi A6: New-gen 5 Series rival gets PHEV power

Audi unveiled the 2026 A6 plug-in hybrid available as a sedan or Avant with two power variants and a 25.9 kWh battery in Europe in 2025.
Audi designed the new A6 PHEV to improve electric range and charging speed, increasing battery capacity by 45% over the previous model.
Both variants use a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor delivering either 295 hp or 362 hp, with standard all-wheel steering and a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission.
The battery offers up to 66 miles WLTP electric range, charges fully in 2.5 hours on an 11 kW charger, and enables speeds up to 87 mph in electric mode as stated by Audi.
The A6 plug-in hybrid aims to compete with rivals by combining improved electric driving and performance, with prices starting at €65,800 in Germany and deliveries expected in northern summer 2025.
