Aubrey Plaza Makes First Red Carpet Appearance Since Confirming Pregnancy
- On Monday, April 13, actress Aubrey Plaza confirmed her first pregnancy during an episode of the SmartLess podcast. "Well, there's a baby inside of me," Plaza told hosts Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes.
- Representatives for the 41-year-old confirmed the pregnancy on April 7, with Plaza expecting her first child with partner Christopher Abbott. A source told People the couple "feel very blessed" about the news.
- At the April 16 premiere of her Prime Video series Kevin, Plaza made her first red carpet appearance in a floral mini dress from Stella McCartney. The animated series premieres April 20 on Prime Video.
- This joyous news follows a difficult period for Plaza, whose late husband, screenwriter Jeff Baena, died by suicide in January 2025. The couple had been married for 12 years before separating in September 2024.
- Professionally, Plaza and Abbott previously starred together in the 2020 film Black Bear and the 2023 Off-Broadway production Danny and the Deep Blue Sea. Plaza expressed excitement about motherhood, saying "I've always wanted to see what that's all about.
