Attorney General, Sheriff's office crack down on 48 suspected child sexual predators in Central Florida
MARION COUNTY, FLORIDA, JUL 31 – The six-day undercover sting led to 48 arrests facing over 150 charges including human trafficking and solicitation of minors, marking the highest number in this annual operation.
- On July 30, 2025, Attorney General James Uthmeier and Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods announced the arrest of 48 suspected child predators after a six-day undercover operation called Operation Seek and Ye Shall Find Out in Marion County, Florida.
- Officials said suspects preyed via Snapchat as part of an annual operation involving nine law enforcement agencies, including the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
- Prosecutors filed over 150 counts, including 48 counts of computer solicitation and 40 counts of unlawful use of a two-way communications device, officials said.
