- Authorities confirmed Azhar is wanted in 18 cases and was declared a proclaimed offender by the ATC in January 2026 for his alleged role in May 9 violence.
- The investigation officer informed the court that Azhar's custody is required for further investigation, with police stating a formal challan will be submitted to the ATC upon completion.
- ATC Administrative Judge Manzer Ali Gill previously issued perpetual arrest warrants for Azhar and six others, including Zubair Khan Niazi and Akbar Khan, after they failed to appear despite being granted time.
