At least 20 people killed after fire breaks out on cargo ship in China port

- Of the 42 people aboard, 12 were safely evacuated and Five remain hospitalized in stable condition, according to Xinhua. Rescue teams continue searching for those still missing after the incident.
- President Jinping issued "important instructions" to urgently conduct rescues, while Premier Qiang ordered officials to rescue "trapped" people and "strictly prevent secondary disasters."
- Addressing fire safety broadly, President Jinping stated that "all regions and relevant departments must draw profound lessons from this incident, thoroughly investigate and rectify all types of fire hazards.
