Astronauts arrive at ISS for 8-month mission after medical emergency forced early evacuation
Four astronauts arrived to restore the ISS to full seven-person crew after a rare medical evacuation paused spacewalks and research, NASA said this is the first in 65 years.

- Crew-12 will join Expedition 74 for an eight-to-nine month stay focused on health and lunar-simulation research, with NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman saying, `With Crew-12 safely on orbit, America and our international partners once again demonstrated the professionalism, preparation, and teamwork required for human spaceflight.`
- NASA has declined to identify the astronaut who fell ill on January 7, citing medical privacy, and expedited Crew-12 after the station operated understaffed with no direct handover from Crew-11.
